Youth Arts Mentorship at Scarborough Museum

Details

Beginning December 13th at Scarborough Museum, discover the vibrant voices of twenty-two young Toronto artists under the mentorship of Anthony Gebrehiwot and Keunsu Cho. Through the mediums of photography and fashion design, Scarborough Museum’s cohort examine the many meanings of “home.”

Anthony Gebrehiwot is a multiple award winning visual artist, photographer and community leader whose creative lens re-visions photography as an ongoing dialogue of social change between subject and society. Keunsu Cho is a multidisciplinary fashion designer and researcher creating storytelling-based artworks and protective designs inspired by resilience and social advocacy.

Celebrate the creativity, passion and stories of youth in a series of eight inspiring installations across the city at Toronto History Museum sites. These installations are produced under the Youth Arts Mentorship program, which empowers emerging talent to experience self-discovery and artistic expression through visual arts.
