A renowned Korean-Canadian cellist and conductor, currently Music Director of the Ann Arbor Symphony. He also served as assistant conductor of the Boston Symphony, resident conductor of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and associate conductor of the Pittsburgh Symphony. He is the 2022 recipient of The Sir Georg Solti Conducting Award.

The Temerty Orchestral Program at The Glenn Gould School, the Royal Conservatory Orchestra is widely regarded as an outstanding ensemble and one of the best training orchestras in North America, with graduates having joined the ranks of the greatest orchestras in the world.
