Older and Reckless
Details
Moonhorse Dance Theatre’s acclaimed series returns to the stage this fall as it celebrates its 25th anniversary featuring four dance works created and performed by luminary dance artists.
The works seek to redefine destructive assumptions about age and dance ability, celebrating artists over 45 who continuously take risks, ask pertinent questions and dig deep into nuance.
This year's bill includes “Handmade” a premiere duet by acclaimed Montreal based artists Marc Boivin and Louise Bédard that explores the invitation to be Older & Reckless; “de corazón” a love letter to the heart—its resilience, its mischief, its ache, and its boundless capacity for joy, choreographed by William Yong and performed by ballet legend Sonia Rodriguez; and “Elsinore/night hours” a highly anticipated remount of a work by Carol Anderson and performed by Julia Sasso, originally presented by this dynamic duo in 1999.
