GETAWAY is a party that is comprised of music for the soul and dance floor that happens every other month in Toronto. Everything from soul, funk, disco, jazz, broken beats, house, high life, future beats, and more.

Featuring resident DJs are Toronto local legend: Jason Palma, and Toronto's Street Dance Plug: Iced Misto. Their curated tunes combined brings the dancefloor full of moving, smiling people.

This month's guest is Alister Johnson Alister Johnson is a forward-thinking producer and DJ. He is well known within the Toronto DJ community and has commanded the decks as far afield as Germany, the UK and South Africa, spinning funk, disco, soul, boogie, and other danceable rhythms. An avid collector and lover of records, Johnson always digs deep to find unique sounds. He is also known for his music production, both original and re-edits - making sure to keep the dancers moving, yet never certain what's coming next.
