Beginner Winter Tree Tour at Warden Hilltop Community Centre Park

Join us for a beginner-friendly winter tour at Warden Hilltop CC Park, focused on the basics of identifying trees in winter. We’ll explore features like bark, branch pattern and shape, helping you build confidence in winter ID. You’ll also learn how these trees fit into the broader ecology of Toronto’s urban forest. This relaxed walk is perfect for those new to tree identification or curious about how much the winter landscape can reveal once you know what to look for.

This tour will have both inside and outside components. Please dress according to the weather to stay warm and prepare for uneven and slippery terrain. Tour distances will range from 1 – 5 km.
